Maria has been at the company since 2000, making her one of the longest-serving members of the team.
She is a real advocate for social change and bringing awareness to misunderstood issues such as autism and diabetes. Her commitment to the cause was demonstrated over a 12 week period, when she completed the Swim22 challenge for Diabetes UK – swimming 22 miles, the length of the Channel between the UK and France, in a pool.
Always ready to lend a helping hand and care for others, Maria describes her real-life superhero as her autistic son, Jake. They do everything together and he never fails to impress her at every stage of his life. She particularly enjoys watching him play football and the two of them have a shared love of Crystal Palace FC – Jake has even been a mascot! A proud moment for a proud mum.
